Midwives Rebekah and Matison are Certified Professional Midwives (CPM) and Licensed Midwives (LM - Texas) and serves clients as they birth in the comfort of their own home!

The Shade Tree Midwifery team uses the Midwives Model of Care when working with their clients. The Midwives Model of Care includes:

  • Monitoring the physical, psychological and social well-being of the mother throughout her childbearing year.

  • Providing individualized care to the client including education, counseling, evidence based prenatal and postpartum care, hands-on support throughout labor and birth and postpartum.

  • Midwives specialize in “normal” and “low risk” births. Recognizing if there is a deviation from normal/low risk and referring to obstetrical care as needed is a hallmark of midwifery care.
